Continuing Services - Primary Casualty, Senior Underwriter U.S. Risk Management has an exciting and unique opportunity to join our underwriting team. AXA XL provides customized risk management programs for major businesses and institutions operating in the U.S. Your primary focus is to manage a portfolio of inactive loss sensitive accounts which require you to establish robust relationships internally and externally and to act as the critical interface between our brokers, clients and the company. You are expected to continuously contribute towards improving our current working and underwriting practices. DISCOVER your opportunity What will your essential responsibilities include? •Establish a process to review the inactive portfolio for collateral and premium adjustments. Included in this process but not limited will be review loss data, financial statements, and full understanding loss sensitive programs. •The Underwriter will interact with internal business partners including Actuary, Financial, Legal Accounting and Underwriting then deliver the results to external trading partners including Brokers and Clients. •Collaborate with field Underwriters and Business Unit Leaders to identify Win-Back opportunities. •Partner with Underwriting and Legal to ensure legal agreements are executed within our corporate governance requirements and underwriting guidelines. •Maintain expertise with the products, services, priorities and target markets. •Underwriter manages and cultivates key broker relationships in the region to maintain a positive reputation in the market. You will report to the Head of Product Management.SHARE your talent SHARE your talent We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Required Skills and Abilities: •Moderate to extensive underwriting large risk management accounts with focus on high deductible, retrospective rated, captives, group captives, bundled and unbundled claims. •Knowledge of workers compensation, general liability and automobile lines of business. •Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers and producers. •You should possess robust analytical and problem-solving skills as well as sales and marketing abilities. Desired Skills and Abilities: Excellent organizational, time-management and multi-tasking skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills with experience negotiating internally and externally. Strategic Thinking: Visualize what doesn't exist and know how to get there. Can invent, design and build. The ability to demonstrate critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills Outstanding demonstration of initiative, interpersonal skills, integrity, and a professional demeanor are critical. Microsoft Office proficiency with an emphasis on Excel spreadsheets and other relevant systems. The U.S. pay range for this position is USD $95,000 - 186,500. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual's skills, experience, and location.
