JOB DESCRIPTION Apex is seeking a seasoned program manager with strong consultative skills to act as a Lead Consultant -Program Manager Internal Practice Consultant within our Consulting Practice as part of our Apex Systems Solutions Delivery Organization. This role is key in building and supporting our client engagement. TheProgram Manager will develop action plans to guide projects from inception to completion, ensuring overall deliverables to the client are met for an application modernization engagement. This position involves collaboration across multiple departments and teams to ensure project success. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of organizational operating models, various Agile frameworks, best practices, and diverse project methodologies. They should demonstrate a passion for mentoring, clear communication, and tactful interaction with personnel at all levels, while creating a compelling vision of the project's end goals. This role will be responsible for managing client deliverables and contributing to our internal consulting practice. This position requires 3-4 days onsite with the client. RESPONSIBLITIES Build and Maintain Relationships: Establish strong relationships with clients, industry professionals, and technical communities. Represent Apex Systems as leaders at industry and professional events, while developing and maintaining a robust internal and external customer relationship. Demonstrate Expertise: Exhibit technical knowledge, skills, and effective professional consulting abilities. Foster trust and respect among internal and external stakeholders and model collaborative teamwork. Organizational Evaluation and Strategy: Evaluate the culture and structure of the organization. Collaborate with client staff to establish a long-term vision and guiding principles, identify obstacles and impacts of initiatives, and create strategies to ensure successful implementation. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with clients, internal team members, and executive stakeholders to align project goals and expectations. Roadmap and Reporting: Develop an engagement roadmap and related reporting for client delivery. Oversee and ensure all deliverables are met in alignment with the Statement of Work with a focus on exceptional delivery. Develop and track metrics to evaluate the performance of the project, including KPIs and project success metrics. Create workflows, dashboards, and reports to provide the team with meaningful operational and performance metrics. Create and present bi-weekly and quarterly project status reports for clients. Project Planning and Management: Develop comprehensive project plans, manage resources effectively, and adhere to budgetary requirements. Ensure project deadlines are met and adapt the project roadmap as needed to stay on track. Team Leadership: Lead and oversee daily work priorities, track metrics, and communicate progress to the team and stakeholders. Lead multiple pods of nearshore teams, mitigate blockers and risks as they arise. Delivery and Risk Management: Oversee delivery planning, manage project risks, prepare documentation, and support team development by eliminating obstacles and utilizing organizational resources to enhance project capacity. Knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation strategies specific to the agriculture sector. Content Creation: Develop project plans and job aids with a resourceful approach to content creation, making connections, filling in gaps, and reading between the lines. Create and edit PowerPoint presentations to provide a visually engaging experience for the audience. Consulting and Leadership Skills: Demonstrate professional consulting skills, leadership abilities, and executive-level communication and presentation skills. Show adaptability and flexibility to meet business needs. Innovation and Problem-Solving: Continually seek creative solutions and find new ways to add value. Understand client needs, proactively provide solutions, and approach challenges with a consultative, solution-focused mindset. Client Relationship Management: Stay attuned to the future needs of the client and work with internal resources to identify opportunities. Participate in sales pursuits by providing strategic guidance, estimates, scoping and other pre-sales activities. Liaise between the product teams, business teams and IT teams to ensure delivery expectations are met. JOB REQUIREMENTS 6+ years of relevant product and program management experience. Extensive portfolio and program management skills required. 3+ years of Agile project management experience. Familiar with all project methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall and hybrid with ability to adapt to the project needs. 3+ years deep industry knowledge of crop insurance is mandatory. Familiar with the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) guidelines and compliance requirements. Strong understanding of crop insurance policies, federal and state regulations industry standards. Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM),Program Management Professional (PgMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or other relevant certifications preferred Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, MS Project, Clarity, Basecamp, Trello, etc. Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams. Experience supervising and mentoring team members. Exceptional leadership, time management and organizational skills Experience in the Microsoft Suite including Outlook, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams Well-versed in virtual coaching techniques and collaboration tools. Excellent creative, conceptual, storytelling, and analytic thinking skills. Strong writing, communication, and presentation abilities. Candidate must have experience working with near-shore development teams. Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work in a team setting and independently.
