The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Bannockburn, IL Details for the position are as follows: Payrate: $20hr W2 (without benefits)Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Bannockburn, ILDuration: 6 months contract (with possibility to extend - likely 1 year)Job Description:Scope of work: Job involves physically moving things around + equipment repair Receive equipment, put in crates, help ship things back out Equipment troubleshootingrepair - equipment includes the following, but none are requiredall can be trained: different centrifuges, PVC tubing sealers Lots of data entry (Excel) Requirements: HSD or GED Computer skills, specifically MS Word, Excel, SharePoint (MS SharePoint not required. Any basic computer skills = required. They use MS Office) Able to comfortably lift up to 30 lbs. Background in a regulated industry is a plus (devicepharma) Open to other industries if they are mechanically inclined + have basic computer skills. General customer service background great, but mechanical aptitude more important than CS experience. Customer focus, good comm skills **Someone with a pace maker not the best fit. Some equipment doesn't allow them to be within 7 ft.** OBJECTIVESPURPOSE The Calibration and Maintenance Lab (CML) is responsible for ensuring BioLife equipment is suitable for its intended use, properly maintained in a good state of repair, and continues to operate in a validated state. CML is responsible for the equipment lifecycle including testing and assessing new technologies, configuring, qualifying, and validating new equipment, evaluating the impact of changes, managing repairs, managing maintenance and calibration, and decommissioning of faulty and expired equipment. This position is accountable for the repair, preventive maintenance, and calibration of plasma Center equipment, but supports all CML responsibilities, as required. The Equipment Management Associate owns, executes, and continuously improves the abovementioned CML processes.
