Explore life at Fortune Brands hereJob DescriptionAs the Senior Category Manager, Indirect Sourcing, you will play a key role in shaping procurement strategies that drive impact across the organization. This role focuses on collaboration, innovation, and strategic problem-solving to optimize sourcing for MRO & Secondary Packaging categories, representing approximately $70M in spend.You will partner with stakeholders across all our operating companies to develop and implement sourcing strategies that reduce the total cost of ownership, enhance supplier relationships, and support business objectives. By leveraging strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills, you will foster a solutions-oriented approach that benefits the entire organization.We value individuals who can Think Fast, identifying opportunities and making informed sourcing decisions, Work it Together, fostering meaningful connection and cooperation across teams and supplier networks, and Make the Hard Call, balancing cost, quality, and efficiency with a considerate and thoughtful approach.What you will be doing: Collaborate with leadership to align sourcing strategies with business goals and priorities.Lead category strategy, fostering partnerships and driving stakeholder engagement.Shape procurement strategy to optimize cost, streamline suppliers, and enhance processes.Deliver measurable value through cost savings, risk reduction, and process improvements.Stay ahead of industry trends to provide insights and drive best practices.Negotiate supplier agreements, balancing risk, legal, and commercial considerations.Utilize data and market insights to enhance sourcing strategies and long-term impact.Ensure compliance with company policies while fostering collaboration across teams.Work Environment & Location:Hybrid Work Model - In-office collaboration Tuesday - Thursday.Location: Based in Deerfield, IL, supporting corporate and business teams.QualificationsBachelor's degree in business or a related field.8+ years of experience in Indirect ProcurementExpertise in sourcing MRO, industrial supplies, PPE, consumables, and packaging materials.Strong negotiation skills, including contract redlining and collaboration with Legal.Deep knowledge of procurement best practices, from supplier analysis to RFx execution.Ability to travel up to 20%.Preferred Qualifications: MBAKnowledge of Agile methodologiesAdditional InformationFortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $107,000 USD - $165,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
