We take pride in being known in the industry as nimble, entrepreneurial and responsive.The Retail Excess Casualty division of Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for a National Account Excess Casualty Underwriter to join our East Coast Team.Responsibilities include but not limited to:Grow, manage, and maintain a profitable, diversified book of excess casualty business for the National Account Excess Casualty DivisionUnderwrite and analyze new and renewal business within delegated authority levels while adhering to underwriting rules and guidelinesDevelop and maintain relationships with brokers to facilitate a flow of desirable new business and to maintain renewal business via quality serviceCollaborate with other related segments along with regional colleagues and internalexternal business associates.Analyze new business for risk profitability as determined by a review of underwriting, claims and financial data.Underwrite renewal business according to current underwriting approach and philosophy in a service oriented environment, ensuring high renewal retention.Collaborate with corporate underwriting, claims, actuary, operations, and marketing to achieve collective team goals.Obtain, assess and communicate competitive factors in the marketplaceQualifications, Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree or above andor insurance certificationsA minimum of 3 years of experience in underwriting casualty businessDemonstrated ability to generate profitable new businessKnowledge, Skills & Competencies: Strong relationship management skillsExcellent analytical, communication, and computer skillsAbility to successfully complete multiple tasks concurrently within a fast-paced, team-oriented, working environmentCustomer-oriented approach#LI-RS1#LI-HybridOur Culture At Everest, our purpose is to provide the world with protection. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
