OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Medical Director of Pathology to lead our pathology department at Cheshire Medical Center. The Medical Director is responsible for the overall direction, operation, and management of the Section in accordance with the mission and goals of the Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic, Cheshire Medical Center, and with the objectives established by the Chief Medical Officer of Cheshire Medical Center. The Medical Director is the role model of appropriate, expert, compassionate, and cost-effective clinical care and maintains exemplary interpersonal relationships with colleagues in the Department and throughout the organization.Key Responsibilities:Provide medical and administrative leadership for the pathology department.Oversee and ensure quality assurance, compliance, and accreditation terpret pathology and laboratory test results with accuracy and timeliness.Collaborate with hospital leadership, clinicians, and laboratory staff to optimize diagnostic services.Develop and implement policies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and patient outcomes.Participate in strategic planning for laboratory growth and development.Train and mentor pathology staff.Qualifications:MD or DO degree with board certification in both Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology by the ABMS or AOAMinimum 4 years of experience in pathology, with leadership experience preferred.Ability to obtainmaintain New Hampshire and Vermont medical licenses.Strong background in laboratory management, quality assurance, and compliance.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Preferred Qualifications:Fellowship training in any pathology sub-specialty.Experience with laboratory informatics and modern diagnostic techniques.Previous experience as a Medical Director or in a similar leadership role.Why we live here:Four seasons and an outdoor lifestyleEasy access to major cities and airportsProximity to mountains and seacoastAbundance of local lakes for boating and swimmingNo state sales or income taxAbout Cheshire Medical Center:Cheshire Medical Center, a leading member of the world-class Dartmouth Health system, advances the health and wellness of the communities throughout the Monadnock Region through a combination of outstanding care and exceptional service.
