Details Client NameMount Sinai West Job TypeTravel OfferingNursing ProfessionRN SpecialtyMS Job ID30492253 Job TitleRN - Med Surg - Contract - MSW Weekly Pay$2089.25 Shift Details ShiftNight - 11.5x3 - 07PM Scheduled Hours34 Job Order Details Start Date03312025 End Date06282025 Duration13 Week(s) Job DescriptionJob Title: Registered Nurse (RN)Job Specialty: Medical SurgicalJob Duration: 13 weeksShift: Night Shift, 7PM-7AM, every other weekend requiredGuaranteed Hours: 34.5Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience, 2 years MedSurg experience, 1 year travel experience preferredLicense: NYS RN LicenseCertifications: BLS, ACLSMust-Have: EPIC experience highly preferredJob Description:- Deliver patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care and through the application of the nursing process based upon theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standards.- Assess and evaluate patient care needs and apply critical thinking skills in patient care management.- Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care.- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.- Prioritize all aspects of patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning after hospital care, and delegating to others as appropriate.- Educate patients and caregivers, while anticipating needs and readiness to learn, about their plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease.- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, and all members of the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team.- Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing and demonstrate allocation of material resources effectively.- Role model the tenets of Relationship Centered Care through actions including Admission Welcome, Bedside Shift Report, and Purposeful Hourly Rounding, among others.- Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with the patient and family.- Use evidence-based practices to increase understanding of patients' perceptions of care.- Implement process improvement strategies based on institutional, evidence-based protocols and procedures.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement quality improvement projects, evidence-based practice activities, and nursing research studies.- Perform charge nurse duties as assigned.- Coordinate with nursing leadership to ensure supplies are appropriately utilized and inventory is sufficient for patient care.- Document in an accurate and thorough manner in compliance with hospital, regulatory, and legal requirements and standards of care.- Contribute to the environment of care to support clinical colleagues, patients, their families, and members of the healthcare team.- Advance clinical competence in nursing practice to progress from novice to expert.- Participate in shared decision-making through specialty practice councils, nursing department committees, and unit initiatives. Education: Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing preferred.
