Accounting Associate

Job DescriptionBecause of our rapid expansion, we are looking for an Accounting Associate to join our Finance and Accounting Team. This is an entry level position for a recent college graduate, or person with one to two years of business experience, interested in working in the accounting area and growing within the Firm. The candidate will primarily assist with account receivables, including billing, collecting and reporting receivables. The candidate should be highly motivated to learn, able to effectively work with our service teams and take on increasing responsibilities in both this and other areas. Job ResponsibilitiesAssist with all accounts receivablepayable mattersReadily process paymentsResearch and resolve billing discrepanciesFollow up on unapplied cash on accountsActively assist the service teams with billing inquiries and correctionsReview accounts for collections on a periodic basisRun accounts receivable reports, provide insight into collections, and assist with preparing accounts receivable meetingsMaintain cash deposit and wireACH filesAssist with the close by reconciling accounts receivable general ledger accountsPerform special projects as neededSkills, Knowledge and AbilitiesAssociates or Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business or financial related disciplineProficient in MS Office, including strong Excel skillsExcellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize workAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and planning skillsAbout American GlobalAmerican Global is a growing, privately-held risk advisor and broker for the global construction industry.
