A wonderful family in Brooklyn Heights is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Family AssistantHouse Manager to oversee daily logistics and keep their household running smoothly. In this hands-on role, you'll handle everything from scheduling and travel planning to supervising staff and coordinating home projects. Success in this role requires flexibility, quick thinking, and the ability to pivot easily between tasks-whether managing schedules, coordinating travel, overseeing events, or handling household operations.Key Responsibilities:Scheduling & Calendar ManagementManage personal and professional calendars with precision.Schedule appointments, reservations, events, and travel.Work closely with principals' business EAs to ensure seamless scheduling coordination.Property & Household ManagementOversee the day-to-day operations of the household.Develop and implement systems to streamline household processes.Maintain records for properties, vehicles, and other assets.Coordinate maintenance schedules, repairs, and renovations with contractors and designers.Manage both small- and large-scale home improvement projects.Lifestyle & Entertainment ManagementStay informedbe savvy about the latest restaurants, hotels, and cultural experiences.Build and leverage relationships with key contacts to secure exclusive reservations and experiences.Plan and execute events, including birthday parties, dinners, and holiday celebrations.Household Staff & Vendor OversightSupervise household staff, including housekeepers, chef, and nannies.Manage vendors and contractors (e.g., landscapers, pest control, and cleaners).Ensure homes are guest-ready for arrivals and departures.Errands & Personal TasksHandle shopping, gifting, dry cleaning, and returns.Manage houseplants and prepare weekly floral arrangements.Oversee pet care, including grooming, vaccinations, and boarding.Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and well-maintained.Travel CoordinationPlan and book private and commercial travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, transportation, and itineraries.Arrange greeters, chefs, and activities for seamless travel experiences.Domestic and International Travel REQUIRED for this role (Valid Passport)Financial OversightWork with the family office to process invoices, manage expenses, and ensure timely payments.Collaborate with accountants on taxes and investment-related tasks.What We're Looking For:Proven experience in a multifaceted role with complex and evolving responsibilities.A long-term mindset and commitment to growing with the family.Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands.Exceptional communication skills and the ability to problem-solve on the fort working both independently and as part of a team.Proficiency with scheduling and task management tools.A calm, resourceful, and solutions-focused approach to managing challenges. Compensation & Benefits:Competitive Salary: $150K-$190K+ DOEBenefits: Health insurance stipend, 2 weeks paid time off, Paid Holidays and Paid Sick days per local guidance, discretionary bonus opportunityTypical Schedule: Monday-Thursday 10am-4:30 PM; Friday for City errands, admin and miscellaneous.
