Job Description: Property Claims AdjusterAbout the Role:Our client is seeking a Property Claims Adjuster to handle and resolve claims with a focus on fine arts, jewelry, and other high-value assets. This role is based in Manhattan, NY, with some travel required. The ideal candidate will have experience in property claims (HNWpersonal or commercial lines) and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.Key Responsibilities:Manage first-party claims, including coverage analysis, investigation, reserving, and resolution.Address coverage issues and complete investigations to determine cause and exposure.Establish and negotiate claim settlements within authority limits.Evaluate the validity of claims through research, investigation, and contact with policyholders and external parties.Draft correspondence, including denial letters and Reservation of Rights.Maintain organized claim files and adhere to established procedures.Provide exceptional service to insureds, agents, and internalexternal customers.Oversee preferred vendors to ensure quality improvement.Collaborate with independent adjusters and experts on select claims.Travel as necessary for large losses or catastrophe events.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.5+ years of property claims adjusting experience, ideally with HNWpersonal or commercial lines.Empathy and strong understanding of customer needs, including insureds and agents.Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.Strong sense of accountability, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous learning.
