The HHS business unit support work across the HHS Operating Divisions, including CMS, ACF, NIH, CDC, and more. Our team supports Federal Health in building and improving digital services and delivering on strong client-facing programmatic initiatives. Primary Responsibilities: In this role, you will serve as an individual contributor within a team; with the support and guidance of leadership, you will be responsible for completing assignments by defined deadlines and supporting department operations. You will begin to develop an awareness and understanding of financial strategies, as well as interact with stakeholders. Primary expectations for a Financial Analyst II include:Development of influential skills to communicate financial data and drive consensusExhibits an extensive attention to detail, with the ability to review financial data and identify discrepancies for further evaluationPerforms the analysis of budgets and schedules needed to meet contractualproject requirementsSupports the development and implementation of fiscal operating policies and proceduresSupports the development, maintenance, and establishment of operational specifications for financial information systemsAnalyzes business development projections and reports upon business performanceWorks with financial leadership to define and measure key performance indicators; analyzing and interpreting financial and operational performance, and tracks key operational objectives and strategic initiatives to improve the efficiency and profitabilityAnalyzes financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions for use in making financial decisionsAssembles spreadsheets, charts and graphs used to illustrate financial dataDevelops and supports the analysis of monthly financial statements, and quarterly and annual financial data and prepares management analysesMay also support the coordination, negotiation, and resolution of financial compliance issues to ensure accurate interpretation of contract requirementsResearches new policies and regulations and projects the potential impactMay be responsible for the evaluation of time charging and utilization and works with leaders to correct errorsBasic Qualifications: 5 years of experience and a MS in AccountingFinance Business field Proficient with software such as Microsoft Excel to devise graphs and presentations is requiredExperience in Federal budget formulation, planning, programming, budgeting and execution (PPBE)Demonstrated creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems in financial, administrative and program managementExperience in tracking technical and financial milestonesRequires knowledgecompetence in web-based research as well as analysis using modern PC computer techniques, systems, and toolsAt least 1 year of experience associated with government contracting rules and regulationsAbility to apply financial principles and processes to support operationsPreferred Qualifications:One year or more experience working within specific ARPA technical office(s) is highly desirable.Prior experience with government agencies such as DARPA, ARPA-H, ARPA-E, NIH, HHSTo learn more about working at Ad Hoc, please visit: Health, Dental, and Vision InsuranceUse What You Need Vacation Policy401K with employer matchPaid parental leave after one year of serviceAd Hoc LLC is an Equal OpportunityAffirmative Action Employer.
