We have an in-house creative studio that specializes in strategy, copywriting and design. We serve as creative partners to our clients, helping them solve every challenge that comes their way from telling a candidate's story to voters to helping organizations share what they do with the world. Together, we're a team of strategists, copywriters, branding experts, designers and editors. We find a candidate's path to victory and then write, design and produce award-winning creative targeted specially to their voters and build brands for leading non-profits, foundations, educational institutions, social impact companies and more.ABOUT THIS ROLEWe are looking for an enthusiastic writer with a natural talent for storytelling and an interest in politics and social impact causes. The ideal candidate can capture our candidates' and organizations' passion through messaging that speaks to people's hearts and minds. You should be a true collaborator, ready to roll up your sleeves and juggle multiple clients under tight deadlines without missing a beat.Role location: This role is based in our New York, N.Y. or Washington, D.C. office on a hybrid basis. The Campaign & Creative Services team is in-office at least 3 days per week.ACCOUNTABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONSAs a Copywriter on the Campaign & Creative Services team, you will...Bring energy and excitement to our creative teamWork collaboratively with creative and account teams to translate complex political strategy into accessible creative concepts for direct mail programsThink quickly on your feet in brainstorming meetings to come up with ideas that can be actioned on and developedInterview clients to hear their voice and story (these interviews will inform your writing)Write clear, concise and compelling copy for a client's direct mail programs that effectively communicates their message, resonates with audiences and inspires actionManage multiple projects, overlapping timelines and tight deadlines effectively in a fast paced, campaign environmentSupport cause-related branding work and non-political copywriting assignments Essential skills:Excellent writing ability, including a mastery of clear prose and clean grammar with enough expertise to know when to break the rulesAptitude for writing short-form copy that moves audiences emotionally and politicallyFlexibility to adapt creatively to the requirements of different clients and audiencesPower to think both creatively and strategically, independently and as part of a teamAbility to think on your feet and come up with creative ideas and write catchy headlines on the spot during group brainstorming sessionsAbility to meet deadlines and keep track of multiple assignments at once in a fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with project management systems and working with Google suiteOpenness to asking questions, receiving feedback and using it to improve workWillingness to work long hours and weekends during peak periodsNote: Interested in this role but it's not quite the right match?
