The department provides financial reporting, accounting, planning, budgeting, and financial compliance for the Company. The department is filled with fun, outgoing and overall successful individuals who work hard all while enjoying the perks of working in the Music Industry.Your role:Warner Music Group is excited to offer this opportunity in the Corporate Finance Department. This position utilizes hands-on accounting experience and a solid understanding of accounting principles and Warner Music Group's policiesprocedures to facilitate the day-to-day consolidations and financial reporting processes. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting.Here you'll get to: Interact with and provide support to the global finance team during the monthly close process for actual, forecast, and budget resultsEnsure all reporting entities have submitted monthly actual and forecast HFM data and provide daily performance and status reports to the Corporate Finance team in addition to facilitating status meetings during the quarterly closeResponsible for consolidating financial results (actuals, forecast and budget) within HFMDevelop an understanding of the general ledger account structure, affiliate hierarchy, and company operationsCoordinate with Consolidations and Treasury team on monthly (actual and forecast) FX rates to be uploaded into HFMPrepare monthly intercompany reconciliation and coordinate with shared services accounting team and global affiliate finance teams on intercompany variances identifiedPrepare and post corporate topside and elimination entries (e.g. segment eliminations, investment, and equity eliminations)Review and analyze monthly and quarterly actual results to understand unusual variancesPrepare quarterly reporting templates provided to the labelsaffiliates globally and act as key point of contact for submissions and any subsequent follow-upPrepare quarterly reporting deliverables based on labelaffiliate submissions which analyzes quarterly variances of certain key account balances based on their size and risk portfolioDevelop and maintain effective working relationships with the global affiliate finance teams, shared services accounting team, and other key financial team membersPrepare guarantor financial statements on a quarterly basisAssist with the preparation of the quarterly Corporate Finance Newsletter that gets distributed to the global finance teamAct as control operator for key SOX controls corresponding with the above mentioned responsibilities and task performedSupport implementation for our Global Finance Transformation (FIT) project partnering with the transformation team and affiliate finance teams to ensure process and control changes are properly implemented upon launchPrepare ad hoc reports, special projects, and analyses for senior management, as requestedAbout you:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceMinimum of 2+ years of professional experience in accountingBig Four public accounting or large multi-national experience preferredCPA or CPA candidate a plusStrong computer skills with knowledge of financial systems and softwareIntermediate level knowledge of GAAPSEC accounting and reportingProficient with MS office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management is a plusIt would be music to our ears if you also had:Strong work-ethic and a self-starter with effective organizational skills with attention to detail who proactively seeks out new solutionsDemonstrate problem solving, decision making, and continuous process improvement skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize projects.
