As a US-based warranty provider, we provide expertise in safety and homecare to our customers. Our integrated solutions meet customer needs both inside and outside the home. Inside the home we protect critical aspects of home function such as plumbing, heating and cooling, appliances, power surges, hot water heater, and interior electrical. Outside the home we provide protection for critical lines (water, gas, wells, sewers, electric and septic). We primarily go to market B2B2C, partnering mostly with watergaselectric utilities and municipalities to offer our product leveraging their brand for marketing and often adding our subscription fee to the watergaselectric bill itself. Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team. This position will fulfill a critical function within the broader organization. Using primarily operational data, the Sr Financial Analyst will provide decision support and analysis to business functional areas. This position will act with other members of the Commercial Finance team as co-pilots of the business with the functional leaders, helping to brainstorm, model solutions and find opportunities for growth and efficiency. In this role, you will specifically, partner with our Marketing team - comprised of Direct Mail, Digital, Growth and Product groups - as we accelerate our customer growth trajectory.This Hybrid role is based in our Naperville, IL office. Our office environment is a key driver of our company culture and employee experience, so a regular in-office hybrid model (generally T-TH in office and M & F remote) is required. Responsibilities Be a valued Commercial Finance contact for functional area's activities, thinking outside the box to help solve business problems and find avenues to drive business growth and cost savings.Deep understanding of finance principles and knowledge of their functional area, build and maintain the core financial model(s) to accurately forecast and analyze the business.Develop a deep understanding of unit economics that link back to the financial plan of the company, using that understanding to influence decision making; in this role specific, a few key KPIs that you will work with daily are Customer Lifetime Value, Customer Acquisition Cost, and Retention.Work closely with business counterparts to create actionable reporting and mutual understanding of the financial impacts of KPI trends.Assist in the preparation of materials for the executive weekly & monthly business reviews and quarterly board meetings.Work closely across Commercial Finance, FP&A, and the business through the budgeting process to find cost saving and revenue growth opportunities, as well as calling out risks and opportunities that may affect the forecast.Partner with FP&A to reconcile monthly financials and variance explanations, help drive the monthly close process. As much as this person is helping to analyze and evaluate business decisions and direction, you will have your own perspective on how to achieve desired outcomes and be a leader helping to drive positive business outcomes.Not only a strategic thinker but also puts strategies into action driving change in the business, pressure tests business decisions & influences leadership.We're Excited if This is YouExperience and Qualifications of the Role Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in a finance role.Top tier financial modeling skills, including from scratch building and stability curious, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proven track record of partnering with operators to help translate financial analysis into business outcomes.Confident and professional, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.SQL, Workday, Looker, Oracle & other data system puter Skills Needed to Perform this JobProficiency in Microsoft Office (required).Proficiency in Workday or Financial Reporting systems (preferred; can train).Proficiency in Looker, or other data analytic platforms (preferred; can train).EducationBachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics or equivalent work experience (required).We offer a compelling total rewards package that includes a competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits to support your total wellbeing. The base pay range for this position is $62,000 - $110,000 USD Annual. The specific pay offered will depend on qualifications, experience, education and skill set. The compensation offered may also include an annual performance-based bonus, sales incentive plan or commission target.
