Diesel Mechanic

Diesel Mechanic Overview:Our Client is seeking an experienced diesel maintenance mechanic for their Downingtown, PA location. This position will help oversee, the client's shop and captive shop provider in Downingtown, PA.* Perform diagnostics, repairs, maintenance on trucks, trailers, and support vehicles* Assign jobs to technicians on the floor* Review work orders for accuracy, including work performed and diagnostics* Review all estimates to ensure proper cost is correct with backup from estimates and put time limits on all repairs* Review and provide all purchase orders to payables department and obtain proper signatures for all purchase orders* Communicate job status to all department managers and directors* Adhere to manufacturer's warranty policies and procedures* Investigate and resolve a variety of problemsShift: Monday thru Friday (approx. 7am to 4pm)Job RequirementsQualifications:* Knowledge in safe operation of all garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lift, hoist, and jacking equipment* Knowledge of vacuum pumps and blowers for specialty equipment* Basic computer skills, such as Microsoft office* Must be consistently capable of independently analyzing and safely resolving issues* Ability to work in fast paced environment* Ability to work well alone and oversee other employees* Supervisory experience in the diesel engineheavy duty trucking industry preferred* Valid Class A License (preferred)* Strong written, verbal and telephone skills are a must
