Heart of Chelsea Veterinary Group, part of the Suveto network of hospitals, located in New York, New York, has an opening for a full time Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team. Applicants must hold a current license or be able to sit for the VTNE. Responsibilities include strong client communication skills, nursing care, anesthesia monitoring, phlebotomy, radiography, lab chemistry and records management. Scheduling flexibility is required. Salary based on experience, experienced technicians higher, both include a rich benefit package. Responsibilities: Assist veterinarians during examinations and proceduresPerform diagnostic tests and laboratory workMonitor anesthesia and patient recoveryAdminister medications and treatments as directedProvide excellent client communication and educationMaintain accurate medical recordsEnsure a clean and safe environment for patients and staffRequirements: Valid NYS Veterinary Technician licenseExperience in a general practice or emergency setting preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentCommitment to ongoing education and professional developmentCandidates with experience can expect a wage commensurate with their knowledge and skill set.
