DescriptionMartino Law Group, LLC is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Family Law and Divorce Paralegal to play a key role on our legal team. In this position, you will support our attorneys in all aspects of divorce and family law matters, from intake to trial and judgment. You'll draft legal documents, assist with discovery, manage case files, and provide vital support for trial preparation. If you're an experienced paralegal with a passion for family law and the drive to make a difference in clients' lives, we want to hear from you!Responsibilities•Manage Divorce and Family Law Cases: Handle all aspects of family law matters, including intake, discovery, trial preparation, and judgment. Experience in child custody, child support, alimony, and asset division is a plus.•Draft Legal Documents: Prepare pleadings, affidavits, subpoenas, interrogatories, complaints, deposition notices, legal briefs, and pretrial orders under attorney guidance.•Client Interaction: Conduct client interviews to gather critical information about their legal issues. Maintain clear and professional communication with clients to ensure they feel supported throughout the process.•Administrative Support: Maintain an organized filing system for all legal documents, coordinate office activities, and assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and coordinating witnesses.•Legal Research: Conduct legal research on family law issues, assist with the preparation of client meetings, and provide general case support.•Case Management: Coordinate with attorneys to ensure case deadlines are met, manage discovery processes, and assist with settlement negotiations.•Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with attorneys and staff to ensure the highest level of client service and case management.•Take care of administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining an organized filing system for all legal documents•Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues•Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motionsQualifications•Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a paralegal in family law, including divorce, child custody, and asset division.•Education: Completion of an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program or advanced paralegal education preferred. Bachelor's degree desired.•Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and excellent time management.•Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with case management software and legal research tools.•Preferred: Candidates with experience in estate planning or personal injury law and those looking to expand their expertise into additional practice areas are encouraged to apply.•Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills•Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred•At least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
