Job DetailsJob Location90 BEAVER STREET - BROOKLYN, NYPosition TypeFull TimeEducation LevelAssociatesSalary Range$50,000.00 - $56,000.00 SalaryTravel PercentageNoneJob ShiftDay ShiftDescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Level Up! is RiseBoro Empowerment's economic empowerment program, serving clients across the division by providing individualized and catered financial and career coaching services. The team works in tandem to ensure clients receive access to the services and programs that will enhance their household's overall income and economic well-being. The Career Coach will provide workforce-related services to referred clients, including job readiness assessments, case management, and resourceprogram navigation and referrals. The Career Coach will also work collaboratively with the Level Up! team to implement job training and credentialing programs and trainings. They will work collaboratively with other programs within the divisions of RiseBoro to gain referrals, conduct workshops, outreach to community members, and assist households in increasing their financial stability. This Career Coach's primary responsibility will be the Level Up! Sustainable Building Maintenance Workforce program, funded by NYSERDA. The program's focus is training and placing 60 community members and upskilling 40 existing RiseBoro property management staff in energy-efficient building maintenance practices. They will be responsible for:Receiving referrals of clients interested in career coaching and workforce development, with a focus on (but not limited to) careers in general maintenance (porters, handymen, and building superintendents).Conducting robust outreach to recruit a minimum of 100 trainees (approx 60 community members and 40 RB existing workers).Conducting intakes, assessments, and screenings of community members interested in RiseBoro services and training program-specific eligibility.Setting goals and action plans with each referred client.Providing job readiness soft skill workshops, assisting members with resume development, cover letters, mock interviews, and development of other job search tools and skills.Conducting case management to assist clients in alleviating barriers to employment.Following up with each client and holding regular check-ins to measure progress and outcomes; ensuring that program deliverables are being met.Collaborating with contractors to schedule, support, and monitor on-site vocational training; provide on-site presence during all scheduled trainings. Engaging the overall partner network, maintaining existing relationships, and pursuing additional opportunities as needed, with particular attention to career pathways that include credentialing, and significant work-related milestones.Working with team and contracted partners to secure milestone verifications and achieve set KPIs; track other performance-related data as required by contract deliverables.Assisting the other staff with reporting and resource development.Maintaining a small adult workforce caseload to support Level Up! particularly during periods where training is not taking place.
