Payrate: $38.11 - $50.06 (depending on education and experience)Catholic Charities of Baltimore, Caritas House, is currently seeking a Delegating Nurse, who will work with and support an interdisciplinary team to support the medical wellbeing of residential persons. The Delegating Nurse supervises and direct care professionals in the implementation of the medical components of individual care plans. The work schedule is 24 hours per week working 3 8-hour shifts on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.Caritas House is a community for seniors that provides additional services that help our residents remain independent and safe. Our Elder Assistants help our residents with their activities of daily living including dressing, personal hygiene, housekeeping, and laundry services. The Care Assistant assists residents who are physically andor socially impaired and need 24-hour oversight, with activities of daily living, always fostering residents' independence and freedom of choice.JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Support direct care professionals to ensure that the residents served on their assigned caseload receive appropriate medical services in a timely municate and provide training on procedures and treatments to residents served and direct care professionals.Delegate nursing functions to both licensed and unlicensed direct care professionals; supervising the administration of medication and nursing tasks for assigned caseload.Provide specific training to both licensed and unlicensed direct care professionals as outlined in the residents personal care plete all required assessments and reviews for an assigned caseload in a timely manner.Develop, revise, and monitor nursing diagnosis, nursing care plans and nursing goals for assigned caseload.Provide adequate supervision of all CMT's working under the RN's Delegation, to assure proficiency and competency to safely administer medications.Maintain all health and nursing related documentation in a timely manner.Assist and advise the Director on issues related to meeting the health needs of the residents.Perform other duties as assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Associate degree from an accredited nursing education.Three years' experience with one-year long-term care, dementia, andor one-year acute care.Working knowledge of Medicare skilled level criteria and rehabilitation.CertificationLicensure: Currently licensed as RN with MBONCPR and First Aid certifiedREQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: Excellent relational skills.Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.Excellent verbal and written communication skills including active listening.Service-oriented and able to resolve customerclient concerns and grievances.Exceptional planning and organizational skills.Ability to influence and engage staff.Effective conflict resolution skills.Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate activities as appropriate.Requires the ability to utilize computer systems and software necessary to perform position functions. Basic Windows PC, web browsing (i.e., Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.), and EMR skills required.
