DescriptionLocation: Los Angeles, CAECC is seeking candidates for a Site Superintendent position working on-site in Los Angeles, CA for the LA fires debris removal project. Qualified local candidates and candidates with significant fires debris removal, disastery recovery, heavy civil, environmental or construction project experience are encouraged to apply. This position is full time and provides a full benefits package. This position requires working extended days (including Saturday and Sunday) and extended hours, as needed by the project. Additional compensation may be provided. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions. Project start date is immediate and the position is expected to last approximately 12 months. In this position you will: Coordinate with the Project Engineer, Health and Safety Officer, and Quality Control Officer for interaction of task prioritizationCompliance with health and safety and quality control requirements as identified by functional officersAssist and lead field sampling teams in achieving task requirementsKey implementers of field activities and tasks preparatory to field activitiesAssist in identifying and performing general labor tasks to achieve project objectives under the direction of the Project ManagerContribute methods of approach and identify solutions to logistical or operational challenges during mobilization, sampling, surveying, deconning, and general field operationsAssist in identifying task-specific equipment to achieve the objectives of a task. When appropriate, operate the equipment as needed during mobilization, sampling, surveying, deconning, and general field operationAssume the role of sample team lead to assist the quality control officer and health and safety officer in maintaining compliance with project work plans, standard operating procedures, and sound field practices while achieving project objectivesCoordinate with the operations Manager, operations planner, quality control manager, project chemist, project engineer, and project geologist to prioritize field activities and identify task addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position.Basic RequirementsProven ability to implement programs to address complex needs and problemsAbility to coordinate with staff on various task assignments and field activitiesKnowledge of federal contracting regulations and requirementsEight years of progressively responsible experience on environmental or construction projectsTravel: Must be able and willing to work on-site at project location Five years supervisory experience leading multi-disciplinary teams with experience managing schedule and budget for large construction projectsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Construction Management or related field required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.Current 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification Preferred Proficiency RequirementsPrior work experience on a fire debris removal project or similar disaster debris removal projectMaster's Degree in Engineering, Science, Construction Management or related field required.Experience with sampling, surveying, and deconningECC targeted salary range for US locations average is $85,000 to $105,000 annually.
