Staff Accountant (Entry Level)

Job DescriptionRust Belt Resources is the preferred direct-hire partner for recruiting an entry-level staff accountant for a national organization. The position will maintain multiple general ledger accounts, produce various accounting and financial reports, participate in monthly commission calculations and the month-end close cycle. In addition, this position may participate in various accounting projects including financial reporting, budgeting and ourfinancial statement audit.1. Support monthly financial close including assigned balance sheet and income statement accountreconciliations, journal entries and accruals2. Prepare month end reconciliations which may include but not limited to various bank accounts,fixed assets, prepaid expenses, andor other asset and liability accounts3. Post journal entries as required for asset, liability and income statement accounts4. Assist in providing financial reporting and schedules as requested by management andoperations5. Monthly P&L reporting, budget variance analysis and commentary6. Complete various tax filings including sales and use, personal property, excise and gross receipts7. Assist in resolution of tax notices and research as needed8. Provide accounting support for ongoing projects in conjunction with GAAP Compliance9.
