Photo Editor, News and EnterpriseFortune is seeking a talented photo editor to helm the news photo desk. The photo editor in this position will support Fortune's news desk, finding journalistically appropriate and visually impactful images. They will also create photo-illustrations for short-form news stories, and have some responsibility for assigning original photography for digital features.Responsibilities:Respond to hourlydaily photo requests from editors and reporters, including non-Getty Images research; design and create fast photo-illustrations for some breaking newsCreate unique, on-brand conceptual photo-illustrations for longer-term feature assignments.Assign original photography and research for short-form news stories. Create unique images for daily and weekly newsletters and special columns imagery as needed.Your experience:3-5 years working in a newsroom researching images for breaking news.Excellent research and investigative news skillsexperience.Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign Can conceive and create photo-illustrations for complex andor non-visual stories.To apply, please submit your rsum, a cover letter clearly outlining how your skills and experience meet or exceed the key candidate requirements, and links to five pieces that represent the type of work described.
