This is a great opportunity to work for one of New York City's most exciting, successful, and growing restaurants.As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing dishes according to recipes and chef specifications. The ideal candidate is friendly, curious, and devoted to becoming an integral member of a team that values hard work and attention to every detail. Job Responsibilities: Food preparation tasks as assigned by the Sous Chefs and Executive Chefs, including vegetable preparation, sauces, tempura, hot appetizers, desserts, cutting meats, and sushi food items in accordance with restaurant needs. Keeps consistent and calm communication with fellow staff members in a respectable manner. Executes all food orders with accuracy and consistency, ensuring timely delivery to guests.Maintains cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas in accordance with the Health Department and restaurant standards.Maintains exceptional menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation. Executes recipes to Nobu standards. Performs other kitchen related duties and responsibilities as required or requested.General Requirements and ExperienceGeneral Requirements and Experience:Minimum 2 years of experience in a full service, high-volume, fast paced kitchen.Maintain polished personal presentation; grooming meets Company standards as outlined by Employee Handbook.Strong knowledge of various cooking styles and techniques. Ability to work flexible hours as required including weekends and holidays.Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.Must be able to walk up and down the stairs.Must be able to handle items that weigh up to 50 lbs.
