Discover more about our innovative approach to hospitality at and follow @staymint on Instagram.THE ROLEReporting to the Head of Development Strategy & Operations, this position will play a key role in accelerating the growth of Mint House by driving market expansion efforts across the country, leading outreach within target markets, sourcing new opportunities, building relationships with owners and developers, and structuring, negotiating and executing on new management agreements. Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter with high energy, knowledge of real estate development and an attitude of relentless determination to source, pursue, and execute on new growth opportunities. The development associate will drive Mint House's objective of being the industry leader in operating residential hospitality units through partnerships with multifamily owners and developers of Class A assets in downtown core locations in a quickly growing flexible real estate space. AT MINT HOUSE YOU WILLCanvass target markets to identify and source potential opportunities for growth; work to fully understand complex market dynamics, the scope of opportunity in each market and the regulatory landscapeDetermine all key players (owners, developers, capital partners and management companies) in each market and cultivate and maintain relationships with each potential partner Engage in proactive outreach efforts, and represent Mint House at major industry meetings, conferences and networking events, with the goal of establishing and nurturing connections with key industry stakeholdersArticulate the Mint House offering to potential partners and enlighten them on the value proposition, operating model and financial opportunityWork closely with the Underwriting team on financial modeling for new opportunities, market research, business development materials, strategic analyses and one-off projectsAdvance discussions around new and active projects in the pipeline, oversee underwriting process, and lead deal structuring and negotiationsCoordinate with Legal on the contract drafting process to ensure accuracy and successful negotiations to lead to executed dealsCollaborate cross-functionally to provide the most accurate information to potential clients. Partner with Operations, Revenue and Finance on gathering insights for active projects and with Expansion team to ensure smooth transition of owners relationships and onboarding of executed projects.WE ARE LOOKING FOR4+ years of real estate development andor transaction experience, or sales experience in a real estate environment or related businessPassion for working in a fast-paced start-up environmentUrgency, motivation and a "self-starter" attitude: you are willing to go to great lengths to find and win deals, and are not satisfied until the job is done, and done wellWillingness to travel up to 50%+ to develop strong relationships with institutional multifamily and hotel owners, brokers, and lendersCommitment to building strong and long-lasting business relationshipsOutgoing disposition and propensity for lively discussions: strong articulation and negotiation skills Proven ability to be a team player and work collaborativelyProficient in Excel; familiarity with CRMs; knowledge of multifamily and hospitality fundamentals is a plusCompensation Range: $80,000 - $90,000 USD Mint Houses' compensation philosophy is driven by our company value of fostering inclusivity.
