This applies to our candidates, our teams, our storytelling, our creative work, and our platforms, products, and partnerships.WHAT YOU'LL DOCheck every layout for fit, style, resolution and overall accuracyServe as adjunct to the art department, designing layouts, formatting and attaching text, creating and updating design libraries, and supporting designers as neededTraffic images to prepress, link hires in layouts, and run color testsMove and track articles and layouts through each status of K4 and circulate proofsExport closed pages though the print workflowHelp troubleshoot K4 and InDesign problems WHO YOU AREAn expert with design and production software (i.e., InDesign and K4)Strong type and design sensibilities, and a strong eye for detailPrior magazine or editorial experience is a mustDetail-oriented and able to work independently and accurately while meeting tight deadlines Self-directed, motivated, focused, and able to comfortably and effectively multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic production environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing requirementsStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and the desire to pitch inA strategic mindset, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and proactively implement solutionsFlexibility to work long hours, as needed, to meet the magazine's production scheduleExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsBachelor's degree preferredIf you think you have what it takes, but don't meet every single point in our job posting, please apply with a cover letter to let us know how you believe you can bring your unique skills to the Vox Media team or get in touch! Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.Pay Range$72,000-$85,000 USD
