This is a unique opportunity to get in early and play a key role in expanding our MEP capabilities. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, holds a PE license or ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire, and is proficient in Revit and AutoCAD. Experience with Carrier HAP or similar HVAC load calculation software also preferred.The role focuses on MEP system design for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. While strong design expertise is essential, candidates with field experience in system installation, troubleshooting, or commissioning will be highly valued. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for new construction, renovations, and upgrades.Perform load calculations using Carrier HAP or similar software to ensure optimal system design and energy efficiency.Develop and modify detailed MEP drawings and BIM models in Revit and AutoCAD.Collaborate with the entire project team and key stakeholders to integrate electrical systems with the overall project design.Review and approve mechanical system designs, specifications, and documentation to ensure compliance with ASHRAE, IMC, NFPA, and energy codes.Conduct site visits for installation reviews, system evaluations, and commissioning support. Hands-on field experience is a plus and will be highly valued.Assist with budgeting and cost estimation for mechanical system designs.Prepare technical reports and documentation for project execution.Perform other duties as assigned. Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months) or EIT certification required.Minimum 5 years of MEP mechanical engineering experience.Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing design, energy efficiency, and sustainability principles.Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for mechanical system design.Experience with Carrier HAP or similar load calculation software.Familiarity with building codes, ASHRAE standards, and LEED requirements.Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu for markup, document management, and collaboration.Experience in system installation, building automation systems, troubleshooting, or commissioning is a strong plus.Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.Demonstrated attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skillsStrong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
