Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Work with the Supply Base Management team to qualify and select new suppliers including travel to domestic and international locations as needed. Prepare audit reports based on findings and distribute reports to senior management as needed.Developmaintain existing supplier quality audit schedules and ensure audits are conducted on time. Prepare supplier site audit reports for visits conducted. Initiate and follow up on corrective actions related to audit findings, nonconforming product, or overall supplier performance to ensure effective resolution and timely closure.Maintain supplier performance reporting including processing of Supplier Scorecards and chassis inspection results.Work with Procurement, Commodity Planners, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Service, and Warranty teams on supplier issues involving quality issues in support of corrective actions and supplier recovery. Participate in supplier review meetings as assigned.Participate in the new product development process to ensure product specifications are met by the supply base. Reviewapprove supplier Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) inspection reports before shipment of parts to the Business Unit.Drive quality system continuous improvement for key supplierscommodities. Assure suppliers are using appropriate root cause analysis in resolving supplier corrective action requests and assist those suppliers who need additional training on root cause analysis.Support continuous quality improvement of internal plants' quality systems.Perform other related duties, assignments or special projects as needed.Position RequirementsBSBA degree or equivalent, preferably in a technical field such as Engineering or Supplier Quality Systems.Six Sigma certification - preferred5 to 7 years' experience in quality assurance quality systems in a manufacturing environmentMust be computer proficient with knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Familiarity with MS Access or other database software, Cetova, Smartsheet, Box, Egencia, Concur, Kronos also preferred.ERP systems: working knowledge of JD Edwards required; Syteline, Syspro, and Epicor preferred.Must be effective with virtual meetings.Must be proficient with reading GD&T as well as electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematics, and welding drawings. Experience with various commodities and manufacturing processes is necessary.Target skillsdisciplines include digital microphotography, CMM technology, hydraulic cleanliness, paintcoatingplating, metallurgy, metrology.Must have experience of lean manufacturing principles.Must possess excellent problem solving & root cause analysis skills.Must have PPAP knowledge, as well as worked in an ISO environment.
