ResponsibilitiesLead Structural Engineer or Project Engineer on major projectsAssist with managing internal staff as well as sub-consultants, along with interacting with clients and other design team disciplinesAssist with client relations and business development efforts and proposalsPrepare detailed plans and construction documents for the assigned taskPerform engineering calculations about and in support of the detailed plans and construction documents developedDevelop contract specifications, contract bid documents, and technical report writingCoordinate various discipline and payment items within the construction documentsComplete work accurately and in accordance with quality control and quality assurance proceduresAttend project meetings and contribute information as requested by managementProvide mentoring and training to junior staff and conduct performance reviewsDisplay experience with current FEM Modeling CSI Bridge, SAP, and MIDAS is preferred but not requiredRequirementsBS in Civil Engineering required; MS preferred)PE License in NY required, additional license in NJ or other states a plus (preferred)Minimum of 15 years of Structural Engineering experience with a focus on bridge designSpecific experience with local client base preferred (NYSDOT, NYCDOT, PANYNJ)Experience in analysis of major andor complex bridge projects (e.g., curved steel plate girders, steel box girders, segmental concrete box girders, or continuous post-tensioned girders) in accordance with Federal and State codesBridge rating experience (preferred)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team
