Analyze and evaluate credit worthiness of real estate and data center loans through detailed cash flow modeling and market analysis. Required tasks include, but are not limited to review of offering memorandums, financial and operating statements, sponsorship transaction history, real estate market information, cash flow modeling, loan structuring, and credit and management memorandum preparation.Preparation and documentation management for new deal execution including information memoranda, credit agreements, and bank meeting presentations, under the direction of senior members of the team.List MajorEssential Job Duties:Assist in the new deal originationmodelingstructuring process for the real estate finance team.Evaluate new transactions to determine the quality of each opportunity.Assist in the preparation of deal screening memos, credit applications, risk ratings, and other supporting materials required during the approval process.Conduct market research on a macro and micro level for various property types, markets and submarkets.Coordinate the engagement of third party vendors (legal, valuation, engineering, etc.)Assist with customer due diligence know your customer checks on new clients transactional due diligence, and loan closing process.Prepare detailed cash flow and real estate analysis models complete with deal, market, and industry information for the analysis of potential new business.Assessing BBVA's internal risk rating, as well as running return models for each transaction.Portfolio management and information reporting on in process transactions and closed deals, including interaction with finance on fee recognitionLoan approval, closing, and booking for transactions booked in NY using internal processes and systems, working with various teams to book transactionsMaintain and update various sizing and structuring models to provide efficient and transparent analysis and feedback on new deals to originators, relationship managers, and credit risk as deals progress through the structuring and closing process.Maintain various databases to track origination and market color: pricing, structure, leverage, teract closely with the syndication team, as applicable.Participate in periodic site inspections.Level of Complexity and Risk Involved: Moderately complex responsibilities, with a critical component being the underwriting of real estate loans, due diligence, and preparation of credit memoranda.Scope of Duties:Interaction with other teams within the BBVA GroupMaintenance of internal reports and their distribution to the appropriate areasLoan market updates and data managementUnderstanding and development of financial modeling, financial statement analysisOral and written presentations for client marketing and internal purposesClient meeting participation when practicalPreparation and monitoring of the loan closing processLoan booking on the Bank's loan servicing toolIdentification and use of research and toolsParticipation in due diligence meetingsSkills, knowledge, and abilitiesCompetencies:Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or related fieldFluent in English. Working Knowledge of Spanish is a plusExcellent communication and presentation skillsStrong organizational skills to manage loan approval deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work in a team environment and under tight deadlinesSelf motivated, accountable, and team-orientedFinancial modeling and knowledge of financial statementsProficient in ALL Microsoft Office ToolsAdvanced Excel a necessity and PowerPoint a must, Bloomberg a plus. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
