The salary range listed does not include bonusesincentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.Status: Full Time RegularShift: VARIED SHIFTDepartment: Ctr For Women's ImagingPosition SummarySummary:The Mammography Technologist, under the general direction of the Radiologist is responsible for performing screening and diagnostic mammography exams at a technical level that will produce high quality images. May be assigned to other duties (i.e. assisting in stereotactic biopsy, breast wire localizations or performing DEXA bone density studies) if training and experience are deemed adequate by supervisor to perform those duties. Performs stereotactic biopsy, breast wire localizations and DEXA bone density,QualificationsResponsibilities:Education Required •Must complete in-house orientation program •Graduate of AMA approved Radiologic Technology program Experience And Skills •Excellent interpersonal skills •Speaks, reads and writes English •Three years of experience in mammography with experience in MQSA regulatory guidelines preferred •Good oral and written communication skills •Computer and typing skills. •Basic knowledge of medical terminology LicenseCertifications •Current New York State license in Radiologic Technology. •Active certification by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). •Current ARRT certification in mammography, R.T. (R) (M) required within two years of hire.Working ConditionsOther information:Working Conditions •Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn •Standing for prolonged periods, frequent walking. •Tasks may involve the exposure to radiation and to blood, body fluids, or tissues.
