Grossing Technician (Direct Hire) - Full-Time - $42-$48hr Location: Westbury, NY Schedule: Full-Time (Flexible Shifts Available) Compensation: $42-$48 per hour + Comprehensive Benefits About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Grossing Technician to join our pathology laboratory in Westbury, NY. What You'll Do: Perform gross examination and sectioning of surgical pathology specimens independently Accurately describe and document specimen characteristics for processing Prepare tissue samples for histological examination Maintain compliance with laboratory safety protocols and regulatory standards Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure efficient workflow Operate and maintain laboratory equipment Accurately enter patient and specimen data into the laboratory information system (LIS) What We're Looking For: Required: New York State Clinical Laboratory License (Technician or Technologist level) Required: Minimum of 1 year of grossing experience in a pathology lab Preferred: ASCP Certification (HT or HTL) Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures Excellent communication and teamwork skills Why Join Us?
