The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment research, transaction management, and relationship building within the private markets landscape. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our investment strategies by conducting in-depth due diligence on managers and investment opportunities.What you'll do:Act as a key member of the deal teams, responsible for sourcing potential investment opportunities in the private markets spaceConduct comprehensive research and analysis to identify attractive investment prospects and evaluate their alignment with the firm's investment objectivesParticipate in meetings with investment managers to gather additional information and insightsPrepare detailed and insightful reports on managers, investment opportunities, and market developments to support investment decision-makingDraft investment memorandums for fund investments and co-investments, highlighting key investment thesis, risks, and opportunitiesProactively develop new research processes and methodologies to enhance the firm's investment decision-making capabilitiesStay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging investment opportunities through continuous market research and analysisQualificationsBABS degree (finance or related degree preferred) or equivalent experience4-5 years of experience in manager research, investment due diligence, or private markets investing preferredExcellent communication and presentation abilities, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and conciselyDetail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and qualityStrong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and investment analysisCandidate must be collaborative, a team player, self-driven and possess strong integrity and professionalismAdditional InformationThis position will work on a hybrid model out of our New York officeWe offer a comprehensive benefits package including a collaborative work environment, generous PTO, 401(k) match, affordable & comprehensive medicaldentalvision insurance, CFA and other professional membership reimbursement, and more.The pay range for this position is $100,000-$120,000year. However, base pay will be determined on an individual basis considering various factors, including location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
