WATG is hiring a Project Manager in Interiors for our office in New York.ROLEThe Project Manager directs small to medium-sized projects, impacts revenue and growth, and is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing project teams and resourcing. The position ensures that the work process flows are smooth, and the execution of interior architectural projects runs efficiently. The Project Manager is the primary liaison between the principal, the team, and the client. Team building and motivation are also key responsibilities.RESPONSIBILITIESManages the client relationship, building and strengthening connections through a comprehensive understanding of the project goals, needs, and progressManages the execution and delivery of implementation documents through all phases of the project, including post-occupancy evaluation and sharing and harvesting lessons learned and project impact, in collaboration with the Senior Designer and Project ArchitectImplements all phases of a design project, including contracts, budgeting, scheduling, planning, design, documentation, specifications and construction, field observations, change orders, and pay requestsCollaborates on the design process, including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, document preparation, construction administration and furnishings selection and purchaseConsults with client to determine function and spatial requirements and prepares information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction timeManages client expectations about project scope, budget and schedule to ensure the client understands the services Wimberly Interiors will provide, and the timeframe in which they will be deliveredMaintains positive client relationships throughout project, keeping the client apprised of project progress on regular basis, maintains contact with other key project parties for clarification, coordination and negotiation of critical issuesDevelops detailed project schedule and communicates key deliverable dates to the project team, plans, organizes and manages the work of the project team, and ensures tasks and expectations are clearProvides leadership, resources and technical advice for the generation of construction documents for interior environments, including detailing and finish application, adherence to design intent and carry throughManages and oversees the staffing plan, work plan, financial stability and schedules, with consistent attention to quality, profitability and positive resultsAssists senior management in developing and validating project scope and fees, budgets, and scope of services during the marketing and contract development processCollaborates in project meeting management, including meeting purpose and agendas, issuing meeting minutes, reports and action items logs to maintain clarity on scheduling, decisions made by the client and the team, and follow-up tasks needed to progress the projectAssists in preparing project presentations, participates and leads client presentationsManages projects and completes work plans, including the identification of project team members, budgets, consultants, schedules for completion, fees and costs as well as project change notices or other actions taking place on the assigned projectAssists with negotiating fees and contractsIncorporates Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projectsTakes personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practicesQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture or related fieldProfessional license preferredEnvironmental accreditation preferred10+ years of experience in interior architectural practice with management experience in all phases of projectsAdvanced knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and architectural building systemsThorough understanding of project work plans, schedules, staffing, and budgetsStrong knowledge of building codes and ability to research and incorporate into technical documentsExperience with FF&E to carry out design intentProficient technical expertise in MS Office, Adobe Suite, DesignSmart, AutoCAD, Sketchup, and other design tools; some Revit experience preferredExperienced in client management, project management, and negotiationsAbility to work in a team environment and supervise othersAbility to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing and in presentations*You must include a copy of your resume and portfolioJOB INFORMATIONSalary range: $90,000-$120,000 per yearWATG is an Equal Opportunity Employer
