Known for excellence and professionalism, we're hired as strategic and creative partners by our biopharmaceutical clients to drive categorybrand awareness and growth.Position OverviewThe Senior Art Director is responsible for developing designs and concepts across a wide range of media on multiple brands. This position reports to the Art Supervisor.PLEASE NOTE: This is a hybrid position requiring onsite collaboration. The role will be based out of our office located in New York City. All candidates must be willing to commute into the office on a regular basis.Specific Responsibilities:Develop and oversee design and concepts as a brand leadKeep all work consistent and on brand guidelines and strategyClearly present and communicate internallyHelps establish and maintain the highest possible standards of reproduction for all digital, print, audiovisual and collateral materials produced by the agencyMonitors the quality of finished mechanicaldigital art and conceptual materials produced by internal and freelance artistsProvides direction and guidance to graphic designersInforms and advises creative leadership on the status of departmental affairs, including all design-related computer hardwaresoftware needs (upgrades, equipment needsproblems, training, etc.)Ensures the efficient visual execution of creative concepts according to a prime account responsibility list or by management's assignmentConsults with creative leadership, as well as account service, traffic and other agency team members as necessary to achieve agency objectivesHelp to identify and eliminate factors creating a crisis, and minimize recurrenceMeets established deadlines or provides reasonable notice of special circumstances requiring deadline extensionMaintains a current list of available freelance artists, web designers, art and photography stock houses, photographers and other contributory talent and vendorsEngage in personal development necessary to stay current in advertisingResearches to become more familiar with clients' businessesRequirements:A Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and a minimum of 2 years experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, preferably in pharmaceutical advertisingStrong presentation and communication skillsDemonstrated supervisory, management, judgment, and decision-making skillsExcellent design skills, including a highly developed overall designconcept aptitude as well as typography, color, photography, and artPassionate about design and visual communicationKnowledge of print and digital productionDemonstrated organizational and analytical skillsProven ability to multitask, handle stressful situations, and deadline pressuresAbility to prioritize workflow and redirect agency projects to meet competing and changing deadlines Excellent computer skills, especially as they apply to desktop design including advanced proficiency in the following Adobe applications: Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator; as well as an understanding of Flash, HTML, and Aftereffects. Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Proficiency with Figma and general AI toolsSalary range: $80,000 - $110,000The salary range provided represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at BGB. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit, including experience (both direct and indirect), education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational need.
