Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the the role of Mechanical Construction Inspector, we'll count on you to:Demonstrate familiarity with a broad spectrum of construction materials, methods and processes for buildings and facilitiesConduct inspection of electrical, mechanicalHVAC and site civilMentor junior field staff and provide supervision as neededCollaborate with other field representatives or Project ManagersRead and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documentsConduct and document observations of construction as it progressesServe as the most senior inspector on projects as neededPerform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications5 years' experience in construction inspection of mechanicalHVAC work on major transportationinfrastructure projects for public agencies, such as PANYNJ, MTANYCT, NJ Transit, NYCDDC, NYCSCA are required.NFPA Fire Protection System Certification and ICC M2 Mechanical Inspector CertificationExcellent Organizational and communication skills required.PE license in New York or New JerseyOSHA 30-hour trainingExperience with vertical transportation systems*Preference given to local candidatesQualificationsRequired QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent A minimum of 5 years experience Proficient with MS Office (WordExcelOutlook) Strong written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team This position typically requires successfully passing drug-screening procedures prior to being hired; thereafter subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testing An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
