We strive to ensure every scoop, store and employee feels and creates one community to contribute to the overall brand.Van Leeuwen is looking for a Permits + Licensing Manager to join our Store Development team. You will work closely with the growing team at Van Leeuwen Ice Cream as we embark on our next stage of accelerated growth. This role will work closely with the VP of Store Development to prepare and track comprehensive project communications, proposals, permit requests, vendor contracts, lease agreements, brand standards & more.This role will be based out of our Williamsburg, Brooklyn office and follow Van Leeuwen's Hybrid work model and be in office at least two to three days a week. JOB RESPONSIBILITIESManage the CPR including lease trigger dates, permitting, design schedule and construction time lines Manage communications and coordinate permits + licensing noticesMaintain executed permit + licensing tracking systemSupport Store Development in terms of timeline estimates, local municipality requirements and managing permits submittals Manage and renew DOH permits, as requiredManage all NSO utility account set up and hand off to OPSAssist in the application process for required licenses and permitsCoordinate all legal closeout documentation for all projects, ensuring all items are in order for final completion, acting as a liaison with respective landlords and contractorsDocument walks, meetings, and updates and communicates to Store Development leadershipJOB REQUIREMENTSAt least 2-5 years of experience in a similar role supporting construction related activities; store development experience preferredVery strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask a must.
