We also leverage our expertise in vacuum technology to provide unique, toxic chemical analysis products for emergency response, security, and environmental health and safety.Job DescriptionOverviewAs the Distribution Account Manager you will enjoy fueling sales growth and market expansion for INFICON in the Americas with our distribution partners in the areas of instrumentation, critical sensor technologies, and Smart ManufacturingIndustry 4.0 software solutions that enhance productivity and quality of tools, processes, and complete factories.The distribution account manager will have accountability for professionally managing the Americas distribution partners by developing and executing detailed plans that will enable scale. This role will facilitate and maintain successful relationships with our distribution partners which will be measured by increased revenue performance and customer base. What you will doStrategically plan and implement strategy and sales goals for the distribution partners to enable revenue & customer growthMake recommendations to the Segment Managers regarding annual sales goalsSubmit forecasts, monthly reports, distributor account plans, and any other requested informationProvide Business Units with feedback on competitive products, market trends, and application needsAssist with product line recommendations, pricing adjustments, and sales policy changesSupport the development of territory sales and marketing plansOffer marketing assistance to the Business LineSupport marketing activities in conjunction with our channel partners including trade shows, strategic industry committees, and marketing campaignsQualifications4 years technical degree (Engineering, Chemistry, Physics)Understanding of the distribution channel and the value they bring3-5 years of account management experience selling to scientific industriesConsultative: Ability to identify areas of concern in customer manufacturing sites where our product portfolio can offer effective resolutionsChallenger sales acumen; value selling competencyPersistent, winning mentalitySkilled in conveying strategic plans with a deep understanding of key account stakeholdersStrong presentation skills and a solid grasp of our products and their potential applicationsVersed in software tools, encompassing CRM and MS Office applicationsEffective negotiation skillsProficient in project tracking to proactively tackle potential challengesMust have the ability to work independently, travel to distributor and customer sites (20-30% of the time), and possess strong customer engagement skillsINFICONCareer at INFICON (YouTube)Additional InformationFor New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $80,000 to $135,000 per year with commission opportunities. In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit sharing bonus with a target of 5%.
