We are committed to providing whole person care, investing in your well-being, and enriching your career.Key Position Details:Casual Role812-hour combo dayeveningnight shiftsOccasional weekendsJob Description:Performs abdominal, small parts, OBGYN, vascular imaging and provides sonography guidance for interventional procedures, in accordance with department policies and the American College of Radiology (ACR). Uses independent judgment, and has thorough understanding of equipment and positioning to provide optimum service to patients and providers.Principle ResponsibilitiesCompletes procedures in compliance with physician orders and department guidelinesIdentifies patient with two identifiers.Documents accurately all needed aspects of the procedure.Observes and communicates with patient, responding to needs.Maintains safe patient environment in procedure area.Performs procedures with high degree of accuracyDemonstrates appropriate knowledge of all diagnostic equipment.Maintains work knowledge and competence.Gathers all relevant information to assist in interpretation of images.Verifies all images has appropriately transferred to imaging storage and retrieval system.Provides accurate clerical functionUses Excellian (electronic medical record).Understands the storage and retrieval system.Ensures all documentation is complete post municates with Supervisor and teamReports problems, issues or ideas.Provides assistance, ideas and information to support the work of others.Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsAssociate's or Vocational degree from an accredited School of Diagnostic Ultrasound orVocational or Technical Training graduate of accredited School of Radiologic Technology and 2 year School of Diagnostic Ultrasound orVocational or Technical Training graduate of accredited School of Radiologic Technology and ARDMS registered or registry eligible0 to 2 years of diagnostic Sonography experienceLicensesCertificationsMust meet at least one of the following:Certified Ultrasound Technologist - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Required registered in abdomen, andor OBGYN High Risk Perinatal, registry eligible upon hireCertified Ultrasound Technologist - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography registered in Breast upon hire required for Piper Breast Center LocationsCertified Ultrasound Technologist - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Required registry eligible, registered within 6 months of hire, and either:Registered Vascular Technologist - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography required registered RVT upon hire with AMG ClinicsRegistered Vascular Technologist - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography required registry eligible, registered within 6 months for Hospital locations (Not required for High Risk Perinatal cost centers)Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below:Current BLS certification from the American Heart AssociationCurrent BLS certification from the American Red CrossAllina in-house BLS training within 60 days of hirePhysical DemandsMedium Work*:Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequentlyPay RangePay Range: $37.67 to $51.63 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
