OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NP OR PA- RN, NPPA CERT, 2 YRS OCCUP HEALTH REQ LOCATION: Boston, MA FACILITY: Acute Care Hospital SIZE: 500+ beds SALARY: $133K - $140K DESCRIPTION: Schedule: Full Time -Monday-Fridayday shift. Will consider 4, 10 hour shifts A licensed and credentialed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) provides diagnosis, treatment, consultation, and follow-up under the direction of 1 or more physicians in the clinic. The NP provides age and specialty-appropriate medical care at the level of training achieved. Nurse Practitioner is responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process, supervision of clinical practice, research involvement, consultative services, inter and intradepartmental liaison, education, leadership, and patient care management across the healthcare continuum from preventative, acute care through discharge. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Master's degree in nursing required. Completion of an accredited educational program for nurse practitioners or physician assistants is required. Current RN or Compact state RN license Authorization by the Board of Registration in Nursing to practice in an expanded role. Registered with the ANCC or other accrediting organization for Nurse Practitioners. Registered with the State of Massachusetts and DEA for prescription writing privileges. Current BLS and ACLS Certification. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three years of current clinical nursing experience Two years of experience in adult practice are required.
