Job Type Full-timeDescriptionI. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited toResponsible for carrying out family support and administrative tasks as identified by supervisor, all required documentation, attendance at staff and supervisory meetingsProvide direct advocacy and support to families by accompanying them to access services in the community, accompanying them to appointments and making home visitsProvide on-site support to Case Planners by providing childcare or assisting families on site with concrete service needs, provide interpretation services, provide administrative support as needed, collaboration with casework staff and other duties as needed.Co-facilitate groups for parents and childrenAttend community events and provide outreach to disseminate information about CFL programs and servicesThis position necessitates collaboration with CFL program staff, ACS, Public Assistance, Medicaid, Housing Authority, multiple systems, and other community providers.This position requires some evening workII. QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent; BA preferredBilingual: Mandarin or related Chinese DialectBe a team playerHave a strong sensitivity to cultural differences present among staff and clients within our organizationPossess a strong belief in people's ability to grow and change; forge a mutually respectful partnership with persons served and their familiesAbility to set limits and maintain the helping role of practitioner and to intervene appropriatelyIII.
