Job DescriptionChubb is seeing significant growth in our Major Accounts Natural Resources Property business segment. Chubb Major Accounts Energy complements Chubb Bermuda and Chubb Commercial Insurance Energy Resource Services (ERS) current offerings and also supports the established Chubb Energy and Climate+ Industry Practices. The Natural Resources team writes worldwide property exposures for United States and Canada domiciled entities. The occupancies we underwrite in the Natural Resources unit are Oil & Gas midstream and downstream, Petrochemicals, Chemical Manufacturing, Power Generation, heavy Process Industries and Mining. The coverage is typically written on a manuscript policy form in a layered & shared program structure. It is expected that clients will accept retentions that contain frequency (normal expected loss) levels.Position Responsibilities include: Predominately responsible for account solicitation, risk selection and analysis, pricing and sales of core commercial property products and services for new and existing customers. Develop a new business pipeline and manage assigned renewals. Meet with new and existing customers and agentsbrokers to negotiate coverage, price, financial terms, and service delivery. Work closely with Global Client Executives to build an enterprise approach to account underwriting and services. Build Chubb Brand in the marketplace. Drive financial performance of a Natural Resources Property book of business. Meet or exceed financial goals including rate, growth, profit, retention, and new business. Collaborate with Chubb underwriters and engineers on a global basis to assure a consistent approach to Natural Resources Property risks, identify and adapt to innovation trends and identify critical risk factors. Build underwriting acumen in Natural Resources sectors Participate in cross-sell initiatives within to expand product offerings to current clients. Adhere to Chubb's climate policies regarding greenhouse gas emissions, coal usage, and protection of conservation areas. QualificationsCollaborative approach to the underwriting process. Much of the work is in tandem with Risk Engineering (90% of submissions will require RE consult). We also encourage a team approach to underwriting.Strong sales, marketing, and negotiation skillsMinimum of 5+ years insurance industry experience.Minimum of 5+ years of commercial lines underwriting experience.Proven track record of building strong business relationships with agents and insureds.Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills.Proven ability in complex account analysis, prioritization, organization and detail orientation.Ability to work both independently and within a team environment using multiple internal and external resources appropriately, effectively, and efficiently.Strong desire to improve knowledge and skill set in the commercial lines of business.The pay range for the role is $188,700 to $254,760. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
