OnsiteA leading wholesale distributor of paint, hardware, janitorial, and building supplies, is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Purchasing Supervisor to lead a team and optimize procurement processes. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels in team leadership, and has a strong ability to manage vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for operational improvements and be a proactive problem solver.Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 year DOEPurchasing Supervisor Responsibilities:Supervise and manage a team of 3 purchasing associates and 1 expediterOversee purchasing operations, including vendor relations, purchase orders, and inventory managementEnsure product accuracy in terms of descriptions, lead times, stock levels, and warehouse computing systemsDevelop and implement profitable purchasing strategies to enhance efficiency and fill ratesWork cross-functionally with Sales, Merchandising, Finance, and Operations to align purchasing with company objectivesPrioritize shipments with vendors and resolve out-of-stock issues proactivelyContinuously improve processes and document procedures for better team efficiencyEvaluate and restructure the purchasing team as necessary to optimize performanceUtilize Excel and AS400 for data analysis and reportingPurchasing Supervisor Requirements:5-10 years of purchasing experience in a distribution environment or relevant industrySupervisoryleadership experience with a track record of managing and developing teamsStrong analytical skills, ability to work with large datasets using Excel Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to manage vendor relationships effectivelyHighly detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindsetAbility to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentBachelor's degree preferred Benefits: Competitive salary and bonusesComprehensive health benefits 401(k) plan Generous PTOStable company with long-term career opportunitiesIf you re a strong leader with purchasing expertise, apply today! #LI-CM1
