The Driver will deliver and swap recycling bins and carts as needed. Run local routes to service USAgain recycling bins and bring the collected materials for processing to the warehouse located in Mount Vernon, NY 10550.Location: Mount Vernon, NYDriver Schedule: Work Days: Tuesday to FridayStart Time: Between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM ESTDuration: 10 hours per daySalary: $28 per hourDRIVER RESPONSIBILITIESOperate Local Routes: Safely drive a box truck to service recycling bins, collecting materials and delivering them to the warehouse.Bin and Cart DeliverySwap: Ensure timely delivery and exchange of bins and carts at customer sites as required.Unload Collected Materials: Upon returning to the warehouse, efficiently unload and organize collected materials.Overflow Collection: Manage overflow pick-up tasks as necessary, ensuring all materials are gathered promptly.Resolve Site Issues: Address site-specific issues, including bin repairs, repositioning, graffiti removal, and bin removal as needed.Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure the box truck is safe and operational.Additional Duties: Support warehouse operations, including material organization and general assistance to the team.This role offers flexibility and variety, requiring strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to adapt to different responsibilities while maintaining safe and efficient operations.Enjoy Comprehensive Benefits:Medical: 80% Company PaidDental & Vision CoverageShort-Term Disability (STD)Long-Term Disability (LTD)401(k) ProgramLife & Accidental Death Insurance9 Paid HolidaysSafety Bucks ProgramWellness ProgramsWe offer a comprehensive benefits package to support your health, well-being, and future.RequirementsThis is a physically demanding position that requires a high level of stamina and strength. Candidates must have the following qualifications:Must be 21 years of age or older3-5 years of experience driving an 18' to 26' box truck for pick-ups or deliveriesAcceptable DMV Record (no more than two moving violations in the past three years, no accidents in the past three years, no DUI in the past 7 years)Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs regularlyCapability to twist, bend, and engage in repetitive physical movements throughout the dayFlexibility to work hours based on business needsAbility to read and comprehend memos, reports, and a variety of instructions in written, oral, and schedule formsKnowledge of safety protocols in both driving and physical work environmentsMust be able to pass pre-employment screeningBasic computer skillsThis position is highly labor-intensive and requires consistent physical exertion throughout the day.
