A bookkeeper clerk's role in property management involves managing financial records, processing payments, and maintaining accurate financial documentation. Here are some key responsibilities and skills usually required for this position:Key Responsibilities:Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update accounting records and files. Analyze budgets and create financial reports.Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage invoicing, handle accounts payable and receivable, and ensure timely payment of bills.Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies.Budget Preparation: Assist with budget preparation and expense tracking against budget.Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial pliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including tax filing.Lease Renewals: Assist with updating lease renewals in compliance with HUD and affordable housing regulations.Required Skills:Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in handling financial anizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain organized records.Mathematical and Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in basic math and ability to analyze financial munication Skills: Effective communication capabilities to interact with vendors, tenants, and management staff.Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in Yardi Voyager and Checkscan, familiarity with standard accounting software like QuickBooks or Sage, and Microsoft Office Suite.Qualifications:A high school diploma is required, but an associate's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.Previous experience in bookkeeping or a similar role, especially within property management, is highly advantageous.Familiarity with HUD and managing affordable housing portfolios is required.Salary: up to $55,000 per year
