In this capacity, the Head Athletic Trainer will provide injury prevention strategies, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for Players' medical issues. The performance of duties will be under the direction and supervision of the Club's General Manager.The Head Athletic Trainer will work closely with the Head Coach and President of Soccer Operations daily. This is a year-round position, and the Athletic Trainer will attend all training sessions, scrimmages, and home games, ensuring that one vetted Athletic Trainers are present at all matches.Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage the healthcare of Players, including but not limited to: first aidemergency care, on-site injury evaluation, application of appropriate modalities, development of rehabilitation and prevention programs, and conducting rehabilitation and making medical ply with OSHA standards regarding bloodborne pathogensOrder, maintain, and inventory supplies and clinical equipmentKeep the athletic training room and clinic area safe, clean, and organizedMaintain a complete and up-to-date roster of Player health and participation records in the Club's electronic medical record (EMR) systemElectronically document accurate first reports of injury, physician diagnosis, Player assessments, treatments, and return-to-play datesInitiate insuranceworker's compensation claims for PlayersCompile reports as required by the LeagueAssist the Club Medical Staff in Player health and safety mattersUnder the direction of the Club physicians, assist with the organization and maintenance of pharmaceutical inventory and recordsOrganize physical examinations as required by League regulationsSupervise Assistant Athletic TrainersTherapists, Medical Interns, and volunteers as applicable and as outlined in the Club Medical ManualDemonstrate interpersonal skills required to work effectively with Players, coaches, other Club personnel, and League staffManage all incoming medical data streams (e.g., physiological, injury prevention) in the Club's EMR systemCollaborate with Strength and ConditioningPerformance staff on data collected for athlete health and safety measuresComply with all League medical policies and protocolsConsult with Players regarding dietary needs, nutritional supplements, and LeagueFIFA banned substancesAttend all activitiesmeetingsprograms as required by the LeaguePerform other duties as assigned or required by the Club.Licenses or CertificationsNATABOC (or CATA) Certified Athletic TrainerTherapistIn good standing with NATABOCState or Province License in the stateprovince in which the Club operates, if required by the stateprovinceCPR certification for Health Care ProvidersMaintain professional liability insurancePrefer certification: CSCS, PES, LMT, andor NREMT, Certified Performance Sport Specialist (CPSS)Preferred HIPAA compliant Course and Health Information Certification. GDPR compliance recommended for all Clubs.Educational ExperienceMinimum four (4) year collegeuniversity bachelor's degree, master's degree, or higher in a related healthcare fieldWork ExperiencesMinimum three (3) years of certified athletic trainertherapist experienceExperience with elite-level athletesExperience working in a high-tempo, high-stress environmentSoccer experience preferredPreferred proficiency in Microsoft applications and knowledge of current technologiesCompensationBased upon qualifications and experience with an anticipated range of $60,000- $65,000 AnnuallyStandard benefitsDC Power Football Club is committed to uplifting our community, staff, and club.
