Project Manager/Estimator

Currently looking for an experienced Construction EstimatorProject Manager to fill an opening with a high end residential general contractor located in Long Island City, NY. Interested candidates should have 8+ years experience with at least 3 years of that experience must be on high end residential work with a general contractor or construction management firm.Responsibilities of the EstimatorProject Manager - High End Residential ConstructionSolicit subcontractor andor supplier information & pricingPrepares instructions to bidders, bid form and other bid solicitation information as required.Performs andor manages the quantity survey and pricing effort for internal budgets.Prepares conceptual budgets, sometimes based on minimal information.Reviews general conditions, schedule, scopes of work, hoisting plans, site logistics and other exhibits as prepared by Operations.Review andor manages the review and scoping of specialty contractor bids.Builds effective relationships with customers, design team, specialty contractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the customer's expectations.Direct responsibility for assigned luxury residential projects, from preconstruction phase project development and planning to construction phase execution.Report directly to senior managementOversee budget managementDevelopment and management of all project documentationSubcontractor contract managementProject reporting and regular communication with project staff, design team, and customer.Requirements of the Project Manager - High End Residential ConstructionAt least 4 years of project management experience on high-end residential work with a general contractor or construction management firm.Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management degree or equivalent education and experience.Ability to work in a team environment and handle multiple assignments.Must be able to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done.Candidates must possess a strong work ethic.Attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
