The Cook Chill Production Centre (CCPC), operating since 1994, serves Office of Mental Health facilities and other NYS facilities, government facilities and not-for-profit agencies. Cook Chill is a system of preparing large quantities of food using a timetemperature process that provides an extended shelf life. The CCPC makes over 150 different food products (25,000 lbs. produced daily). Refrigerated trucks deliver these fully prepared wholesome meals to dozens of meal sites from Buffalo to Long Island. The CCPC is operated by the NYS Office of Mental Health, Bureau of Nutrition Services. These are full-time temporary contract food prep positions to provide services for an estimated 2 years. Monday through Friday, 7:00AM to 3:30PM The persons selected for this position will perform a variety of food preparation tasks other than cooking, to include preparing cold foodsshellfish and slicing meat; storing and stocking of food; and sanitation tasks. Best value will be determined by combinations of price and experience.
