Position Summary: Performs light housekeeping chores for elderly homebound clients.Principal Responsibilities:Change bed linens, wash and iron clients' laundry, and clean clients' apartments.Participate in the scheduling of appointments. Report all problems and issues to the supervisor.Shop for clients, when necessary.Clean offices space and assist with client activities such as setting up tables and breaking down tables for events. Accompany ambulatory clients outside home, serving as guide, companion, and aide.Perform variety of miscellaneous duties as requested such as obtaining household supplies and running errands.Perform other duties as assigned during non-scheduled appointment times.Maintain records of services provided and of apparent condition of client.Report all problems encountered to professional staff.Perform other duties as needed or requested.Adhere to organization's standards by completing annual mandatory trainings in a timely manner on topics including - but not limited to - Sexual Harassment Prevention Training, IT Security Awareness, Compliance, OSHA, HIPAA and any other training the organization may deem necessary in regards to regulatory compliance or good business practices.Supports organization's mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers.Adheres to the organization's policy in regards to absenteeism and appearanceSalary Range: $16.50 - $17 per hour commensurate with experience. Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) minimum or at least one-year related experienceNYS Department of Health certification preferredExcellent verbal and written skillsExcellent customer service skillsAble to multi-task and work independently with a great attention to detailMust be honest, trust-worthyWorking ConditionsPhysical Demand:May occasionally lift andor move up to 25 pounds.Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock and exposure to pathogens.Must be able to travel locally by public or private transportation to make home visits. Valid driver's license, car registration and insurance as applicable.
