ResponsibilitiesGreet all guests entering the restaurant and thank all guests leaving the restaurantManage reservation systemEnsure reservations are prioritized and seated in a timely mannerStrive to accommodate walk-in guests whenever possibleClearly and politely communicate with guests when delays andor waits occurMaintain an organized floor by quickly and efficiently seating guests according to company standardsUnderstand and operate the reservationseating systemMaintain professional and warm guest communications - inside the restaurant or via phoneemailRecognize key people in the industry, VIP guests and contacts related to the company and follow company protocol related to their visitCommunicate respectfully and clearly with service team and managementSupport team members in the completion of their duties to ensure satisfaction of all guests before, during, and after serviceEngage management for any guest issue or complaintMaintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and front door areaAdhere to Momofuku's Cleaning and sanitation SOPsAdditional service andor operational tasks as determined by managerAdhere to grooming and dress code standardsAssist teammates to anticipate all other FOH needsRequired QualificationsA positive and enthusiastic attitude, as well as a desire to learn, grow, and develop new skillsExcellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to remain calm under pressure and resolve guest conflictWilling to accept guidance in a positive manner and implement the direction in a way that is productive for both you and the teamAble to work in a standingwalking position for long periods of timeAbility to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environmentPreferred Qualifications2+ years of Host, Lead Host, or Maitre D' experience in an upscale, high volume restaurantAbility to navigate the Resy reservation systemProven experience learning seating charts and escorting guests to their tablesAbility to run host stand with support of leadership, directing other hosts to seat tables and complete other necessary tasks and responsibilitiesAbility to train new Hosts in all aspects and responsibilities of the roleA proven track record of dependability and a continuous focus on learning and developmentPhysical Demands The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
