Job DescriptionPay: $115k per yearLocation: Douglassville, PASchedule: Tuesday-Saturday 8am-6pmOverallReporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager will have daily responsibility for managing the workforce, productivity, cost control, continuous process improvement, health, and safety, as well as employee training. In support of the company business plan to meet or exceed OEE KPIs. This is a leadership level role and will engage in the development of yearly budget and capital improvement projects;Responsibilities:Directly Leads and Manages Production Chiefs. Works collaboratively with Logistics, Yard, Production Planning, QA Technician, HR, Finance to ensure company financials are met or exceeded.SafetyInspire desired workplace safety behaviors defined in our 8 Step Safety Program. Leading and sustaining a safe place to work environment. Lead and Ensure compliance with all OSHA programs. Co- Lead Safety Committee program.Core ResponsibilitiesOEE, Financials etc. Oversee the production planning, staffing, and day-to-day manufacturing operations in a cost-effective manner, accurately track and record KPI's.Troubleshoot and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Prepare and maintain appropriate production record systems utilizing AX etc.Ensure the efficient management of operations of a multiple shift production facility and ensure the proper functioning of equipment identifying and resolving potential problemsSpends 80% of time on the shop floor.Ensure product quality standards are met through inspections and material testing procedures.Aiding in capital improvement projects including design, engineering, scheduling, purchasing, budgets and installation and PM programsLearns, over time, how to operate all plant machines, and how to trouble shoot including PLC etc.Create, Drive implementation and Ensure compliance and adoption of Standard and Operation Procedures ( S&OP's)Develop and implement measures to continuously improvement production methods and equipment performance via programs like 5S and Kanban.Analyze Data drawn from production reports to identify possible improvements, reduce losses and the number of breakdowns as well as improve efficiency and product quality.Leadership and Culture ChangeLeadership: effectively lead people; Communicate, and apply company policies and proceduresTraining and DevelopmentRecruit, review and hire production team as required.Motivate employees, be a positive source of influence, lead by example and encourage autonomous work by empowering employeesDevelop and deliver employee training and development plans to ensure succession planning and employee retentionExcellent and proven people leadership and culture change management skillsAbility and proven track record to quickly establish credibility and to develop and sustain excellent business relations both internally and externally.Excellent verbal and written communications skills.QualificationsTechnical Skills & Acumen5-7+ years of work experience in a production or operations management position (Preference will be given to candidates with concrete paver stamping equipment and experience in the industry)B.S. in Engineering, Business Management or related discipline preferredEnsure the proper functioning of equipment and identify potential equipment and process problemsStrong Mechanical aptitude.
